We are truly creatures of habit – but not all habits serve us. We let our lizard brain – our brain that defaults to fight-or-flight reactions – take over in much of what we do. Though this is designed to help keep us safe by hightailing it out of there or defending ourselves, we also have a more developed section of our brain that allows us to respond instead of react.
The positive uses of social media technology are vast. People are able to get in touch with old friends, increase and advertise their small businesses and connect with others. Both professionally and personally, social media technology has offered endless outcomes for adults. However, students today are growing up around social media technology. It is not a phenomenon as it is for many adults, but a way of life. Despite age requirements and rules, many children join social media groups to connect with their friends to access information.
What kind of world do we want to create for ourselves? Given the many changes that are transpiring around the globe these days, this has become an increasingly important question in the minds of many of us (especially with the fast approach of 2012 and all that might potentially entail).
Conscious parenting also does not mean my children are never punished. Understanding consequences for behavior and actions is the corner stone to understanding the Law of Attraction.
