We have a choice—either to be a Light for the world or to be a Light only for ourselves. On our path to success, there must be the recognition that only the power of the Light will allow us to fulfill our purpose. If we are following a higher purpose that is supported by the Light, then we will succeed.

When we consciously appreciate the magnitude of what we are—a spark of the infinite Light of the Creator—then it becomes so much easier for us to share our energy with others.

The universe is talking to us all the time. The people around us can be messengers, channels for that Creative Force, which constantly desires to share and assist us on our way.

What we usually don’t see at first is that whatever happens to us is a tool that serves to shape and hone the totality of our being, moving us forward in our evolution to where our soul needs to be.

The Power of Kinship

Each one of us is a teacher and each one of us is a student, meaning all the things that happen in our life are there as lessons for us to learn from.

A person who has truly become spiritual had to work very hard for it by overcoming many hurdles and tests that push us as human beings to become more involved in the spiritual side of things.

For me, certainty means one thing. I know that the things that happen in my life – however difficult they may be – are part of a grander plan: a Hand that is pushing me in a direction, whether or not I acknowledge it, whether or not I want to go there. We are put in this world with an assigned spiritual role, and we will get knocked around by the universe until we wake up to it.

Often think that if we could just get what we want, we would be happy. We forget that we chose to come here to this life so we could earn our fulfillment: to learn, grow, and transform.

Beyond Paris, What Now?
by Karen Berg January 14, 2015We are living in a powerful time, but a dangerous one – a time when we can no longer turn our backs on the heartbreaking reality of hatred and violence that exists for so many all over the world.

The truth is that most of us don’t usually go beyond our comfort zone. Sure, we do things for friends, and yes, sometimes we give charity. But to move forward on our spiritual path, we need to stop and ask ourselves: How much do we truly go out of ourselves in the interest of helping other people? In our daily interactions, how many times do we stop and think about what the other person needs from us, not just about what we want to do or say next?

This week, let’s bear in mind as Maya Angelou so beautifully put it that “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” No matter what our circumstances, we should always concentrate on the love, kindness, and positive energy that we can give to the people around us, and the messages and lessons we can glean from our experiences.

Finding Forgiveness

In this world, people are judged by race, money, status, religion, and a thousand other criteria that society imposes on us. As spiritual human beings, however, we need to push ourselves to have a different consciousness.

We need to understand that chaos does come in different levels, in different intensities. Therefore, the sacrifices are our ways of eliminating these different levels and types of chaos from our lives. This can happen only if we are willing to let go of or “sacrifice” our own animalistic character and our different types of ego.

When it’s your time to dance – is the pain of not dancing greater then the pain of regret and misery? Not in the long run. Read here for the encouragement to overcome!
