You need to wake up every day for at least 7 days and write your way out. I just can’t bear to think of you stuck inside the waiting room knowing so well what’s outside waiting for you. Please, start with a grief cleanse. Start writing your way out. And share it with someone who can witness you, validate you and see your re-entry come to life.

How to Be Grateful for Silly Arguments and Uncooked Dinner
by Christina Rasmussen March 3, 2015It has felt that grief has haunted my soul over the last ten years. And maybe not in the way you would think. I feel like there is no place to rest my spirit. There is no place to just be. There is no place to just giggle. There is no place to put my soul, without creating depth and analyzing every aspect of life. There is no place to be like I was before loss.

Grief Does Not Last Forever
by Christina Rasmussen August 8, 2014When my husband died, I was told that I would never stop grieving, that grief lasts forever. Not only was I told this by every single person I ever met, but I was also taught this during my grief work in college. People felt so sorry for me.

We have control of our minds, but very often we feel that our thoughts are out of control.
