When it comes to Inspiration, Peace Day is defiantly something worth sharing. Global Peace Day and Ceasefire is every year on September 21st, it is a day that saves lives as well as allows food and medicine to get to places that normally are unreachable do to war and fighting. (Even the Taliban lay down their weapons on Peace Day.)
Every day approximately 6,800,000,000 people never kill anyone! However that is not who we focus on… it is the 68,400,000 that may have. With the overwhelming majority of people consciously choosing to live in Peace why then is it so hard to understand that we DO have Peace on Earth… right now.
Even in War zones people are helping each other, neighbors are sharing, people continue to do good. For the last several years I have been actively involved in promoting and sharing the awareness of Peace Day; because I believe it is something that more people need to be talking about. As co-creator of an organization called Peace In OUR Lifetime, I have been a part of the conversation about peace with people all over the planet. Even though the other co-creator, Lynne Hazelden and I have never met in person {she lives in the UK}, we have been very successful in bringing together all sorts of organizations to stand together as One Voice for Peace.
This year the day is again being marked by concerts huge and small, parades, art showings , school assemblies, speeches, and gatherings of all sorts. People all over the planet will come together on this day, in celebration of Peace and the possibility of expanding the awareness of Peace every day.
You can join in on the celebrations by either attending a live event, watching one online or marking the day in your own unique way. If you would like to record a gratitude video for the Peace that you have in your life, here is where you can share it: http://www.trunity.net/PIOLT you are also invited to download (free) your own unique Peace Certificate at http://www.peaceinourlifetime.org By adding your name and country, (no email required) you will receive your own certificate that you can share anywhere … use it as your profile picture, use it as wall paper, print it on a t-shirt or turn it into a poster.
The definition of Peace is an individual experience; What does Peace Mean to YOU? No War, freedom, harmony, social well-being, equality, fairness, hope, love, health, wealth, human rights, stillness …. Peace can be what you want it to be, it is yours to choose. It begins from the inside and ripples out if you decide to let it. What we focus on expands, so I ask you…where is your focus?
PEACE
Humbly,
