29. THE ABYSMAL, WATER
ABOVE AND BELOW:
The abyss above and the abyss below.
Water above and water below.
Critical without and critical within.
Danger of too much analysis.
Without a change of attitude,
It will be difficult to find good helpers.
One will feel obliged to do everything oneself.
THE IMAGE:
Health and hygiene.
Danger upon danger.
Discrimination over the corners of the mouth.
Great care is needed over what goes in
and what comes out of the mouth.
Too much negativity can destroy.
To be sparing of words is helpful.
If you don’t have something good to say, don’t say it!
Concentrate on self improvement.
Danger can be diminished but not by empowering it.
Brooding will increase danger.
Good food, good drink, simple exercise, or nothing!
Set an example!
Cleanliness is close to divine.
THE JUDGEMENT:
Difficulties within, difficulties without.
Powerful position with limited resources.
Strong motivation, weak application.
Power in one’s inner depth accompanied by a lack of self discipline.
A position of authority with moderate support.
If one does not keep busy there will be trouble.
If one does not keep others busy there will be trouble.
So much to do, so little time.
FAMILY RELATIONSHIP:
The second son to himself.
The second son is naturally discriminating.
He is critical about what he eats and about what is said.
He tends to withdraw.
He does not appreciate the criticism of others.
He is a perfectionist and senses the need for improvement.
He is vulnerable to the danger of too much discrimination.
He can be very lazy or work very hard
But he does not like to be watched
Or told what to do.
He is sensitive to matters of health and hygiene
And he does not want to get old.
He tends to be closer to the mother than the father.
ZODIAC CONSIDERATIONS:
Darkness increases and so does responsibility.
So many people. So much to do.
One cannot be perfect for everyone.
It is enough to do the best that one can
And fix what needs to be fixed.
Do not make promises. Do not voice criticism.
Strive to improve your techniques.
Do not rely on others. Do the job yourself.
One can be crippled by criticism… within and without.
Silence is golden.
Actions speak louder than words.
THE LINES
Six in the third place: (15° – 16° Virgo)
One eats when one should not
And drinks more than is appropriate.
There will be repercussions.
Respect will be lost.
The third place: 15° – 16° Virgo: 24. Return, The Turning Point
A new beginning.
One returns to face the music.
Consideration for the needs of others
Will inspire the right action.
Six in the third place:
Trouble ahead and trouble behind.
One is not prepared.
Incompetence will encourage incompetence.
Complete your own work well
Before you assess the efforts of others.
This is the Virgo New Moon. The accentuation is on criticism and difficulty in expressing emotional sincerity, hence the abysmal water. Deep feelings that cannot or will not be expressed are like water at the bottom of a deep crevice or pit. It is dangerous to try to get too close or to make fun of them. We are usually our own worst enemies. Awareness of our faults can be useful but too much concentration on them can increase them.
Do not ask yourself what is wrong. Ask yourself what is healing. It helps to be healing!
If you do not have something good to say then it is probably a good sign that silence would be appropriate.
Another good example would be playing in a band or symphony orchestra. If you lose your place or play the wrong note, you want to explain what happened and why you messed up. But nobody wants to know why you messed up! They just want you to pick up where you are now and join in properly. Don’t look back and accentuate the problems. Get into the moment and the problems will fall away.
What has happened is not as important as what you are doing now! In fact, memories are just chains that we carry around in our psyches to impose on the moment, and on anyone who comes into it. They chain us to the past and prevent us from being here, now.
If we remain stuck to our chains of thoughts and memories we will only attract darkness, worry and fear. Chanting is a tool that can help us to overcome our thoughts and break the chains on our hearts. Hari Om!
Chanting can help us to let go and get into the moment, to be here unconditionally. Imagine feeling good for no reason! The alternative is not worth considering as it will in time diminish peace and increase discontent.
When you say a name of God, God is there. It also means that you are completely in the moment as well. The more times you say the name the more God is here and the more you are too. This is a win-win situation. Chanting is a most valuable tool, especially if you are inclined to think too much, and analyze everything. Have you ever tried to not think for even a moment? Its kind of like in the first movie of Ghost Busters. When told not to think of anything, be quiet. The reply came…”Too Late!”
Actions follow thoughts. What follows silence? Can you imaging being active without thoughts or speculations? This is one of the aims of Tai Chi. Thoughts disturb silent action and peace. Control of the breath can bring about control of the mind, but this way can be difficult. It takes a lot of time and effort. Chanting is another way to control one’s thoughts. The more one thinks, the louder one should chant. Get into it. Get into the moment.
Chanting can be done silently in the mind, or by humming it, or by chanting out loud. But it is suggested that chanting should be out loud until it is so familiar that it can be maintained mentally without stopping.
Chanting allows one’s psyche to be cleansed. It is truly a healing process.
If we add light and love into our life even by chanting for a few minutes each day, we will before long change how we remember yesterday. If this is continued for several months, most diseases could be healed, and our inherent innocence and wonder restored.
Chanting on a New Moon is especially auspicious as it is a moment of new beginnings. The old is gone. The seed of the new germinates. It is a pretty good idea to plant a few heartfelt seeds of chanting at the time of the New Moon, or even close to it, like on the same day. Are you even interested in healing yourself? Are you interested in removing the chains of thoughts that keep us in darkness, despair and poor health? What have you got to lose? Hari Om!
This New Moon is the first somewhat positive New Moon in many months. We have survived in spite of the doubts and fears! Mercury is retrograde however and there is a tendency for poor communications and misunderstood thoughts. This can be solved remarkably by chanting and getting into the moment. It removes the very thoughts that cause the problems. Chanting allows us to learn to communicate emotionally without words! Imagine that! Hari Om!
Every little bit of work we do on enlightening or healing ourselves, sends a wonderful light out to everyone we encounter.
This is a Virgo New Moon! Be healthy! Think positive! Think God!
