Here we go…
After four years of blood, sweat and tears and in what space/time Carla, Colin (Empty Cup Media) and I had, here it is…
The first episode of my series My VividLife
My very first film project.
No education, experience or money, but a powerful desire to use my life, break downs and breakthroughs as inspiration.
This morning as I was preparing for today’s launch, as synchronicity would have it , many reminders presented themselves too me, through conversation, as well as flipping through Instagram.
first being a quote …
“and if your gift is to make people. feel. something. do not cover that in apology. do not lie. to accommodate others. fear of feeling.” Nayyirah Waheed
and that reminded me of … being triggered after deciding to transform VividLife.me from being an online magazine, radio network and platform amplifying others ‘how to’ blogs, talks and programs, to getting deeply vulnerable and radically authentic about my own experience, as just a student of this life, and the response to that, in my perception, not well received.
I went from tens of thousands of newsletter subscribers; likes and shares on social media, to a few thousand; and dozen.
Triggering me to believe that what I had to say wasn’t valuable …
but the truth is; that everything was falling into perfect alignment.
Radical authenticity isn’t for everyone, many are not ready to look deeper,
to open the most vulnerable place within themselves,
even if only for their own viewing.
but I am, and I will keep it up. no matter if i’m the only one left in the room shouting it.
What I’ve learned from life, and what you will see in My VividLife the series is as Rumi says …
“the wound is the place where the light enters you”
and If I can shine the light on my wounds, and use my writing, VividLife journeys around the globe, and film to facilitate that, hopefully, in some way, you’ll be inspired to do the same.
And together, one experience at a time, we can begin to heal.
And to open ourselves up to the thunderous power of radical authenticity and a life lived ‘all in’
So today, give yourself the time and space to take this episode in and then share your feedback in the YouTube comments, as well as, feel free to reach out to me personally.
