The Bird of Wisdom

Recovering from our stories is ongoing, resistance sets in and can set us back, but if we keep getting up, keep challenging ourselves, make what we want to become more important than were we came from, with radical focus, one decision at a time…

We Can Do It!

I know it’s possible because I’ve done it and continue to do it every day of my life.

Winter creeps in, the sun hides behind the clouds, overcome by sadness I weaken and in comes “what happen to me” and all the reasons I have to feel beaten, defeated, to just give up, but then the bird of wisdom taps on my window, the sun peaks out from behind the clouds and I remember as Maya Angelou so eloquently said…

God puts rainbows in the clouds so that each of us – in the dreariest and most dreaded moments – can see a possibility of hope

and I begin to reach for gratitude, not to ignore “what happened” but to remember what’s possible, how far I’ve come, what I’ve overcome, what I’ve achieved,

and I begin to rise… I’m reminded of my personal legend, take a seat on my throne and reign.
