Meditation is the most popular way of dealing with stress in the present world. Mediation has originated for centuries and is in practice till today. Especially Buddhist mediation is proven to be most effective from the people who do it regularly as it gives extra glow and energy. There are many Buddhist monks even today and most of them live in Europe, United States and some other parts of the world.
In fact Buddhism itself was originated long back in the 6th century before the Pilates and Yoga together. Buddhism came into practice from the birth of Buddha Siddhartha Gautama. Since the origin of the religion it is more modern from several aspects.
Before planning to take up Buddhist meditation, you have to opt correct techniques as mentioned below:
Pace 1
Use an object as your meditation object. One of the common objects used by many is breath as it will be always available. You can also choose other objects such as candle.
Pace 2
Sit in a comfortable position such as in a floor with cushion. Lotus position; sitting on a meditation cushion with legs crossed. If you feel the position is difficult then just sit on cushion or on a normal chair.
Pace 3
Ensure that your spine is placed straight and head upright. Close your eyes completely or half. Fold your hands and keep on your lap with right hand in the left hand such that thumbs are in touch lightly.
Pace 4
Try to concentrate on your breathing process. While breathing in and breathing out count from 1 until you reach 10. This helps you in thinking only about your breath in mind.
Pace 5
If you get distracted from counting your breath in between then try to resume your concentration on your breath and start counting all over again. Concentrate constantly on your breath for about 15 minutes.
Pace 6
Reserve 15 minutes, twice a day for regular meditation. Further increase the overall time of meditation. Take up Buddhist meditation course or go on a recoil to enjoy meditation.
