“When you are with someone you love very much,
you can talk and it is pleasant, but the reality
is not in the conversation.
It is simply in being together.
Meditation is the highest form of prayer.
In it you are so close to God that you don’t need to say a thing
It’s just great to be together.”
– Swami Chetananda
Meditation provides a deeper appreciation of the interrelatedness of all things and the part each person plays. The simple rules of this game are honesty with yourself about where you are in your life and learning to listen to hear how it is. Meditation is a way of listening more deeply, so you hear from a deeper space, exactly how it is. Meditation will help you quiet your mind, enhance your ability to be insightful and understanding and give you a sense of inner peace.
If you meditate regularly, even when you don’t feel like it, you will make great gains, for it will allow you to see how your thoughts impose limits on you. Your resistances to meditation are your mental prisons in miniature.
When I asked Maharajji how to meditate, he said, “Meditate like Christ.” I said, “Maharajji, how did Christ meditate?” He became very quiet and closed his eyes. After a few minutes, he had a blissful expression on his face and a tear trickled down his cheek. He opened his eyes and said, “He lost himself in Love.” Try the meditation of losing yourself in love….

the interrelatedness of all things is existential. it doesn’t depend on me seeing the tree fall. the fact that trees fall is self-evident. or should be to anyone who still possesses the faculty of reason. whether i meditate like christ. or not. because christ, like all demigods, is but a manifestation of the mind. its desire to transcend its own existential nature. and for the esteemed majarishi’s information, there is NO historical jesus. and for your information, all of these new age gurus were plants by the government to further their agenda of mind control. or the complete breakdown of the human spirit. so through the magic of alchemy, it can be put back together again. like humpy dumpy, answering only to its master inventor.
So beautiful… Just love the video clip.
How wonderful, thank you so much for sharing so much wisdom so eloquently and so beautifully. I have been meditating more off than on for 30 years or so. I am now meditating daily and the new changes in my energy and clarity are exciting. The Martial Arts Meditation I used to do was more Zen based, to sharpen the mind and relax the body. To be concious of the moment, the breath and the beauty of merging universal energy with our own…But lately I have been focusing on the energy of LOVE.. the honesty, the purity, the warmth, the kindness, the joy, the pleasure, the freedom, the GOODNESS and the gentleness of it… It is truely the highest force in the Universe… The thing is to realise how lucky we are to be able to receive knowledge like this and actually be able to DO something with it! How simple life is! Thank you !
For those that are new to Meditation, there are many misconceptions out there. Your mind is full of energy, life and motion, USE IT, if you can focus it! gently on whatever is good in your life, use your imagination to picture yourself sitting in a beautiful garden. Feel the sun, the warmth, the love.. smile and enjoy…keep it simple, because it is simple.
Energy flows through the path of least resistance…
Relax and enjoy
Breathing is the key, it is the link between the external and the internal
Even 5 or 10 minutes a day can DO amazing things 🙂
