My life has been in hyper-speed for a long time. It has been an exciting and joyous adventure as it is all about manifesting a powerful and expansive life. However, when I called in all of this magnificence, I didn’t factor in the amount of time that every project would take to be in excellence. I forgot to ask for self nurturing and to affirm balance. Having a lot of energy, I feel fed in every area that has been created, but the challenge has been about scheduling time for me, family and friends. I am a people person and connecting is very important to me. When weeks go by and I have not reached out to a friend or taken enough time for stillness, I start noticing energy depletion. It became clear that I had to do something different. I began to contemplate “what am I to do to have a more balanced life?” What came to me is that I had to consciously create a new way of being.
What I have done and suggest that you do the same, is to make appointments for myself on the calendar. I have inked in time in the morning for meditation and stillness, the gym and dates with my husband. This may sound a little “over the top” in terms of organization, but it is working. When I calendar time for me, I feel good about myself and the people in my life feel seen and supported. What is most important in your life? Is it work? Is it making money? What came through me is that my connection to God, myself, family and friends is what feeds me. When we honor our priorities we are more vibrant and connected in all areas.
Another area that fills my soul balance is taking people on Inward Journeys, mostly to international destinations. This August, I have the honor to lead with Peruvian Chacaruna, Jorge Luis Delgado, a retreat to the Sacred Valley of Peru. In the spirit of balance, it was important to me that we planned a slow pace, with time for reflection and deepening. We will immerse in ritual at the sacred sites and enjoy a schedule that allows self discovery of newness. Are you craving some time to nurture yourself and take some time for inner reflection and meditation? I invite you to join us. A highlight that I am most excited about is that we will enjoy 5 nights at Willka T’ika with healthy food, morning yoga, meditations at their renowned 7 Chakra Gardens and optional spa time.
We are in an accelerated time on this planet. Technology is moving faster that we can ingest. What are you doing to stay attuned and aligned? Take some time this week and explore balance. How might your life look if you were experiencing a life that nurtured you and your entire being? I invite you to call it in. Call it in for your sake and for those you honor and cherish.
Take a moment to remember this: Today, I commit to self-nurturing and the joy of honoring myself. I live a balanced life!
