There’s a special language that transcends time and space – a language that’s not constrained by the limitations of words, but one that consists of signs, symbols, energy and thought. A language that can only be heard when one truly listens. It’s the language of the Spirit Whisperer.
I’m used to being called different, or even unique, or in some cases gifted, but I guess that comes with the territory of who I am and more importantly what I do! Yes, I am not your stereotype, in that I’m not your typical man who gets up and goes to work in the morning, sitting at a desk or working in a shop, or anything like that. When I get up … my days are quite different, never knowing what’s around the corner or what might happen during the day ahead. A uniquely different language governs my world rather than what would be described as the norm. For me, it’s a special language that transcends time and space – a language that’s not constrained by the limitations of words – but one that consists of signs, symbols, energy, and thoughts. A language that can only be heard when one truly listens. It’s the language of the Spirit Whisperer.
The veil between this world and the next is very thin. As a medium, I have the ability to see beyond that veil and communicate with the Spirit World. I treat it with the utmost respect and never abuse the privilege that’s afforded to me. As I raise my own vibrations to make a connection, I always stop and honor their presence as I blend with their energy. I get to see and feel a soul in its entirety – youthful, beaming, and luminous, even if it’s for the briefest of moments. I celebrate their joys and their sadness, as well as their love. I am truly blessed to do this work, but I’ve never considered it a job. The people who receive a message through me from loved ones on the Other-Side often tell me what a beautiful gift they’ve just received, but in reality I’m the one who’s received the ultimate gift. It’s a chance for me to honor my soul purpose of being all that I can be as a spirit messenger to help others in their time of need.
In my first book, Born Knowing, I wrote about how I had to come to terms with, and the steep learning curve as I had to accept and embrace my spiritual gifts as a psychic medium. I wanted to give “readers” some of my wisdom and guidance on how they could develop their own intuitive psychic abilities. I was certainly not born with a pre-defined path. I was born in the tough suburbs of Boston, USA and like so many families that didn’t have a lot of money, I had to cope with a really difficult childhood, and also hade to deal with my family and society ridiculing me for being different! As a result, I was left feeling isolated and alone because I had these unusual psychic abilities.
I fought them for a long time, refusing to acknowledge my gift until a near-fatal automobile accident amplified my abilities to the point where I was forced to confront them once and for all. I had to learn how to control what I’d been constantly pushing away.
Whether it was fate or pure chance, I was presented with an opportunity to take a leap of faith. I had been drawn by the history and knowledge of spiritualism in England, and I was fortunate to be able to spend more than two intensive years in the UK, training to be a legitimate medium with some of the British spiritualist organizations, which I’ve often humorously referred to as “Spirit Boot Camp!” I feel to this day honored to have been so graciously accepted and respected within this tightly-knit, often-conservative spiritual community. I was a frequent student at the Arthur Findlay College. I was based for two years in Bristol, which enabled me to spend time sitting in circle, where I learnt many of the skills I continue to use to this very day. I’m the first one to admit that it was a thorough grounding in the techniques, and of course I was never allowed to take the easy option, but I was constantly encouraged to stick it out and realise what others saw as my true potential.
Both in Born Knowing and my latest book Spirit Whisperer, I’ve tried to remove some of the “psychic babble” by validating and dispelling some of the mystery and myths regarding mediumship. I’ve continued my story of my own personal journey of growth and development as a successful and respected practicing medium. I candidly write about readings with “real life” clients, including those who’ve had their own After Death Communications (ADC’s) – from the sometimes outrageous to the profound.
ADC’s, which happen frequently, even though you may be unaware of them, are signs from those on the Other-Side. They can visit you in a dream, play with electricity by dimming lights, turn off televisions, stereos, cell phones, etc. Since they are energy it is easy for them to work with electrical energy. They often leave feathers, shiny pennies, and dimes.
This was an immensely personal book to write, so I hope that Spirit Whisperer is a book you’ll want to read over and over, as many of the stories will touch your heart as well as your soul!
