LETTERS FROM BERLIN: A Story of War, Survival, and the Redeeming power of Love and Friendship
As a teenager in Berlin on the eve of World War II, Margarete was preoccupied with school, friends, boys, and sports. But she was also aware of a growing air of fear and secrecy among her elders, and she struggled to make sense of what was happening around her.
From losing her brother to the army to treating wounded boy soldiers for the German Red Cross, Margarete’s wartime experiences would haunt her for the rest of her life. And yet, with courage, passion, and an abiding love of humanity, Margarete managed to survive the war with her dreams intact. But just when she thought the worst was over, and she and her mother were on a train to Sweden, the train was rerouted deep into Russia…
This powerful account draws back the curtain on a piece of history that has been largely overlooked—the untold suffering of millions of German citizens during and after the war.
Kerstin Lieff was born to Margarete Dos and Jurgen Moller in Sweden, shortly after her parents fled their German homeland. Ten months later, the family immigrated to St. Paul, Minnesota, where she grew up speaking German and hearing stories about her parents’ past. Her mother died in 2005 at the age of 81, not long after reciting her life’s story. Kerstin now lives in Boulder, Colorado.
Praise for Letters from Berlin:

“A beautifully written story of two courageous women on a terrifying journey. . . . A page-turner [that] helps complete a blank page in the history of the German people.” —Thomas E. Kennedy, author of In the Company of Angels
Openings – The Search for Harry
Perhaps you’ve seen the movies: “What the Bleep,” or “The Secret?” Well… this movie is not them, but there are some similarities: Personal interviews and true stories are shared by a notable cast that include Amit Goswami (What the Bleep), Joe Vitale (The Secret), Bruce Lipton (Biology of Belief), and many others. But “Openings” is more than guest interviews and new-age concepts, for the undercurrent of the film revolves around a story.
“Openings –The Search for Harry” is a humorous and insightful feature-length movie presentation based on true events. This is the story of one man’s journey from being closed off from those most important in his life, to reconnecting, and to rebuilding an authentic richer life. Join Harry Reed on his often touching adventure into the remote mountains of Colorado. This film explores life in a way that is both real and profound. Interwoven into the film are some of today’s most relevant new-age personalities, who provide interviews that share their own thoughts and insights. “Openings–The Search for Harry” is a rare type of film, one that will open your mind as well as your heart.
The film’s music score is composed and performed by talented various artists. “Openings” – the sound track, will transport you to new realms… of thought . . . of reality . . . of spirit . . . like no film has before.
