Are you looking to enhance you life, make a change, and perhaps step into a new future?
For most of us, creating change is a part of life. Sometimes the change can be small and other times its literally “life changing” and we’re creating a new future for our selves. Sometimes creating change comes easily and yet other times it feels like a struggle and we just can’t seem to make things happen.
So how do we create the future of our dreams?
There are numerous books out there that speak to the idea of helping you create your future using tools like visualization and positive thoughts and affirmations. Both are great tools and have their place but as I was recently reminded by a wonderful speaker by the name of Ti Caine that unless you connect a feeling to the change you’re looking for, you’re not connecting your energy to the visual or the words. Positive thoughts and affirmations don’t mean a thing if you’re not feeling the connection to the words and lets face it, the whole play on positive thoughts, in my opinion is just over done. I don’t know about you but when I’m feeling pain, sadness, sorrow or any other so called negative feeling; no number of positive thoughts or words are going to make me snap out of it and feel any differently. At the end of the day, I believe we need to feel our feelings good or bad.
So what ever change you’re looking to make, I ask you, “How does it feel’? How clearly can you envision and feel your ideal future? Connect the feeling to your words, say them out loud and write them down! How does it feel to be healthier than you ever thought possible, how does it feel to love what you do and have financial success, how does it feel to have your ideal loving relationship and/or family. You may have one goal or many and they are all yours to be had. Given that we exist as energy, it makes sense to me that we should be connecting our feeling energy to the energy we are. Of all the samples that Ti presented at his lecture the one that really hit home for me was that even the process of dying we still have the ability to create a future. How does it feel to let go? Are you peaceful or fearful? It may be a future more unknown to us then others but it is still very much our future to create.
If you’re interested in taking it a step further with reading about the astonishing power of feelings, a great book to pick up is, “Excuse Me, You’re Life is Waiting” by Lynn Grabhorn.
On a final note, creating change can often bring us to reflect on our past. This can be a good thing if we use the past as a point of reference or learning, a way to move towards our future but our past can also have a negative impact on us if we focus too much on our past and stay stuck there. The past is after all the past. Remember, there’s a reason why our eyes are in the front of our head and not at the back of our head, our future lies in front of us not behind us! So go ahead and step into the future of your dreams!
