What makes successful people successful? They tend to do the same things everyday. Their bodies get accustomed to their routine. No matter how vigorous that routine becomes over time. They take baby steps to get to their highest performance level. Over years of reading and studying, I have come to find several acts that successful people do. I incorporated these actions into my life and I have never been more in-tune and successful as I am right now.
So, what are some of these acts they do? The first and one of the most important acts is their eating habits. They tend to eat less at each meal. This allows the body to function better. Think of Christmas each year, we sit down and eat a huge meal of turkey, vegetables, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, and dessert. We then sit around as we are tired because our body has to digest all that food. From a biological perspective, our bodies have to send blood to our stomach area to digest the food instead of to our brains for thinking, and our arms and legs for physical work.
There is a second good reason to watch what we eat. If you eat food within two hours of bedtime, your body will focus on digesting the food instead of trying to sleep. I couldn’t believe how well I slept when I stopped eating within two hours of sleeping.
Thirdly, try not to eat white food. What is white food? Here are some examples, sugar-based foods, white bread, potatoes, and white rice. Why not eat white food? Most of it has no nutritional value. We divert our bodies to digesting something with no value to helping our bodies to function at their highest level.
Action Exercise:
Take one of the suggestions from this article and try it for one week. See if your energy level increases. If it does operate better that is great!

Hi Chris,
Good info here. Thanks for the reminder of how eating close to bed makes it harder to get to sleep. Another thing I’ve heard a lot lately – from my husband and others – is that eating sweet things before bed make for an restless night.
Cheers!
Colleen
PS When you’re looking at a coconut, remember that it is NOT on the ‘bad white foods’ list. Eat it. It’s good for you. 😉
