Some things resonate with us while others don’t. It all depends on what vibrational frequency we are on. There are a variety of different steps we can take take to help us raise our vibrations.
1) Healthful Foods –
By eating healthier foods such as fruits, nuts, vegetables and lean protein every 2-3 hrs, our bodies get the nutrients we need regularly. When we wait too long between meals, our body goes into starvation mode and begins to store fat. Eating larger meals further apart takes longer for the food to digest and uses up more energy to do so. Compare our metabolism to that of a campfire. When we toss a little bit of wood on the fire frequently it keeps burning well. When we wait til the fire dies down and dump a bunch of wood on it, it’s very hard to get it going again. Our metabolism is like the fire and our food is like the wood. We actually have control over how fast or slow our metabolism works. The healthier our bodies are, the more energy we have to get out and live life.
2) Nature –
Whether it’s camping, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, horseback riding or gardening…spending time outside in nature is so important. It gets your blood circulating, your oxygen levels up, and your much needed dose of vitamin D. It also gives you a respect and appreciation for the beauty mother nature has to offer us. Plants and animals have huge energy reserves to share with us. We need to remember that mother earth is their home as well as ours. Making eco-friendly choices such as composting, recycling and choosing “green” products doesn’t take a lot of time or effort, but it literally makes a world of difference. When you spend time with nature…you want to help preserve it.
3) World Music –
When you choose to listen to the sound of music there are so many beautiful vibrations out there. From a large variety of different sounding drums to the resonation of a gong or a crystal bowl. The sound of a sitar, the pan flute or a piano. Whether it’s a violin, a sacred chant or an uplifting hymn…music is not only something we hear, it’s something we feel. Your vibrations can be elevated so quickly by it, that it can literally give you goosebumps! Open your mind and your ears to all the different styles and sounds of the music and instruments you don’t normally listen to. You’d be amazed by what it can do for you.
4) Aromatherapy –
A wide variety of aroma’s await us. Smell can trigger memories as well as create a mood. From incense and resin, to reed diffusers and aroma burners there’s also sage and sweetgrass. Aroma’s which are extracted from plants and flowers are known as essential oils. They can be added to bath water, creams, lotions, and massage oils. If you put water in an aroma burner then add your blend of essential oils you can create whichever environment you choose. Different oils have certain effects on your mind, body and spirit. Nag Champa is a great choice of incense for spiritual purposes. The burning of sage and sweetgrass (known as smudging) can help dispel lower vibrational frequencies. Space clearing is a great way to enjoy the aroma of your space as well as ridding it of negative energy.
5) People –
A wise one once told me that “people are like elevators…some will lift you up, and others will take you down”. Choose wisely who you want to spend your time with, and how you want to spend that time. Surround yourself with positive, uplifting, motivated people. We all have our good and bad days, however, if someone always seems to be on the “shitty pity committee” they will literally drain as much energy from you as they possibly can. It’s exhausting to waste our valuable time on people who don’t want to better themselves. For those who do, we should try to lift them up when they’re feeling down. The survival of mother earth and all who live upon her, depends a great deal on the growth of compassion.
So, to sum it up, good vibrations are elevated by healthy food, mother nature, musical variety, pleasant aroma’s and compassionate people. Submerse yourself in these wonderful things and you’ll resonate at a much higher frequency alot more often. All in your world will feel right, and even when it’s not…you’ll have much better ways of coping with it! Sending all of you much love & light.
