Headline: WIKILEAKS GETS INTO SECRET BANK ACCOUNTS/Records may be published soon — What is the CWG point of view on this? I am not sure what all the fuss is about. What’s wrong with transparency?
According to news reports, a former Swiss banker has turned over data on more than 2,000 high-profile politicians, celebrities and others. And so, soon, everyone may know about their financial holdings and maneuverings. Some people in this group are said to be afraid today of being charged with tax evasion in their various home countries if and when the data get released.
The news item brought up for me an interesting question. What kind of a world would we inhabit if everything was known by everyone? What if we lived in a completely transparent society? Do you think this would be good for society, or bad?
Conversations with God says that in highly enlightened societies everything is completely visible. There are no secrets of any kind. None whatsoever. Everything about everything is on the table. Nothing is kept quiet, there is no such thing as “hush-hush,” and there is simply no reason for anyone to keep anything from anyone else.
We have seen how so-called Sunshine Laws have made for better government, and it it clear to us that personal relationships in which all is said and known are the only kind that make sense. Love and Total Honesty go hand-in-hand, do they not?
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? Could you live in a society in which everything about you was totally visible, completely known, and utterly transparent? What reason can you think of for having any secret from anyone — or anything “confidential” at all?
Let’s have a discussion. Is transparency a basic tenet of the highest spirituality? Let’s all talk. I’ll find great interest in your comments, below…

Neale,
This is a question I ask myself every day and I am sure to be not alone. I dream what it would be like to be in a world that is completely TRUTH.
There is a movie I watched recently which poses some interesting thoughts on this exact subject titled \"The Invention of Lying\" I would suggest watching this. Even though it presents it as somewhat humorous in the end it really leaves you deep in thought.
So should or should we not live in a world of complete TRUTH?
I would like to believe that it would be wonderful. For me, to know everyone I interact with purest intent and TRUTH would only lead me in the right direction.
How can we reach toward divinity when completely separated from TRUTH?
Will we ever really know the answer?
Thank you for your wisdom Neale!
I agree Shayne that “The Invention of Lying” was a very interesting and thought provoking movie. This particular world has been set up in such a way that to know love, the opposite exists. To know what truth is and how it feels, the opposite exists.
I know Neale talks about this type of thing extensively with God, in his outstanding series, “Conversations With God.”
And so, while it would be interesting to be a part of a place that was all about Truth, as the movie pointed out, that could lead to some not so desireable things as well.
We are here to experience it all, the ups and downs, the back and forths, the left and rights, love/fear; happy/sad; etc.
I totally agree that society should be completely transparent. In every aspect. From federal government to personal life. I think living TRUTH all day, everyday is a dream for me.
Although, maybe I am being hypocritical because I don’t FULLY live this ideal. I believe that because our society isn’t this ideal, that pure honesty always is not usually the best route for me. I cannot go into my workplace everyday and tell everyone how much I hate my job. That would get me fired where I cannot pay my necessary bills.
Anyway, I would love to live in a completely transparent society. I would thrive, I believe.
Hi Neale,
Secrets serve to support the false notion that we are separate individuals.
The feeling of separation from each other is probably THE dysfunction that undermines the world as we know it.
I do agree with you all.Laying is only against us!!!When you allowed yourself to lay pretty soon the brothers and sisters joyned the team!!You can named them we know them all.I think we do not have a need for laying.
It is interesting, when we lie aren’t we only pleasing the negative ego? When we live in truth we are enlighten we are using a higher self the consciousness. If we were honest with each other and spoke with compassion we would be truthful a…nd no hurt would come from it. The Challenge is North American fast past, live with the Jones kind of mentality has made it a dog eat dog world. Where to succeed you have to win where some one loses. Where we have been taught to assess who we are by measuring it by other people, places, things and rules. Which if we don’t match up we lie and try to make ourselves feel better because we don’t want to be looked down on. As well asking for help as a community you are looked down upon and judged. Look at the dogmatic religion if you don’t live up to a certain standard you are judged. Either you have to be submissive to it or lie about who you are and/or what you are doing. In my opinion if we truly loved and accepted love as community their would be no need to lie. Just my 2 cents 😉
Hi Neale,
I believe there are no secrets worth keeping. on the one hand everybody loves the truths that expose the beauty in life, on the other hand not many would like to know the dark side of it… an example: Since I was born on an Indian reservation in Quebec Canada, I know that the indigenous peoples NEVER gave up title to their lands, however many people outside the reservations probably don’t even know we exist anymore, except maybe the ones who live right next to the reserves. Everybody knows Indigenous peoples are close and respectful of our Mother Earth, on the other hand most people don’t know that the Indigenous peoples were put through a system that sought to eradicate their language, culture and identity. In Canada it was called the Residential School system, in the US it was called the Industrial School system, in South Africa it was called apartheid. Would we be better off knowing that we are all responsible for this… I would hope so, for if we are to truly promote and embrace the idea that we live in an enlightened world we do have to come to terms with the good and the bad, light and dark… It’s just a fact of life. I’ve always wondered what is really being kept secret in the vaults of intelligence agencies the world over, maybe all we would find out is that there is a lot that we thought was true and just simply isn’t and that the keepers of secrets may not be working for our best interests. I for one rely on my own internal lie detector… my intuition and I believe only what it tells me is TRUE.

The only reason we hide is to manipulate another. We give fancy names such as diplomacy to the reasons of manipulation and hiding. We assert that decision making would not be possible without these. That might actually be correct. Some decision making will not be possible. Decision making that helps me get more than I deserve will not be possible. Decision making that forces others to do against their wishes will not be possible.
Aren’t most problems facing the world a result of one wanting to get the better of the other? An individual trying to outsmart his peer. One company wanting to out do the other. A country wanting to do better for its people at the cost of people in another country.
In a world where collaboration is already being seen as a better harbinger of growth compared to competition, absolute transparency would bring that final push to ensure that we work together and not against each other.
Of course, we are looking at a complete paradigm shift, which will take a while to find acceptance because much of the present day basis of action thrives on competition. Individuals will have to discover new motivations to excel. But one thing is for sure, the new motivations will be far superior to the existing ones.
The new motivation will help humanity to move away from selfishness and intolerance.

Is it secrets? Or rather are we being authentic? There is no reason for secrets if we are being who we really are. What is there to hide? Nothing. Until we can manage to see ourselves as a part of the whole, I think there will always be secrets. There will always be one trying to manipulate the other. But when we can truly understand that we are really all connected rhis sort of behavior will be unnecessary. I look forward to that.
An interesting concept, transparency. How honest are we with ourselves? To survive, we deny, to the point where we believe our denials because we do it so much. To just have out and out transparency would send the world into shock. In order to have transparency, we first have to look deep into ourselves and see what we’re holding back from ourselves. We’re all a bundle of beliefs: in God, about other people, about how the world works, about emotions, and about ourselves in particular. When anyone challenges a belief, how do we react? Denial, hate(an extreme form of fear), defensiveness, and to the extreme, violence. Unless we’ve eliminated the beliefs in ourselves that separate us, then transparency will continue to elude us.
