READ: Monday Matters- The Center Doesn’t Shift by Iyanla Vanzant

What is not normal, natural or productive is to we stuck in the dark and forget about all of the light we have enjoyed. The light is always at the center of our being. It does not shift. It does not go out and we cannot be without the light. Our job is to remember it is there and, to get in it. I know! I know it is hard to do at times. I also know it is necessary.

Should you find yourself in the midst of something painful, it is important to recognize that very soon, it will just be a memory. If you can muster the courage and give yourself permission to just be in the pain and with the pain, you will survive.

You cannot and will not acquire wealth working at a job you do not like. Whatever you spend your life’s energy doing, you must be willing to give it your all. The more of yourself you put into your work, the greater it will reward you.

Attachment. Separation. Fear. Attachment to things and people, viewing ourselves as separate entities and fear are the fuels that drive the ego and motivates our thoughts, emotions and more often than not, our behavior. When we are attached to things and people; how we look and how we feel, our sense of meaning, value and worth is locked into the physical world reality.
