Hi Rick, thanks for sharing this post! Yes it seems in society today most are rushing to get no where! I see it in myself and in others. It makes me laugh sometimes as I am in the car rushing to get to the cottage to relax. Crazy! Thanks for the reminder. Avoid the Rush. Wendy

Well if most people could think this way, the planet could be a better place to live. But, sadly people tend to be not like this. Face it, the reality is harsh, people aren't like that and it is quite impossible to change people's personality.

Lauren, I love the idea of forgiveness being a lifestyle. I think if more of us took this perspective on, the world would be a much better place.

Beautiful. Thank you or sharing.

My amazing Mom passed away unexpectedly this past December. On the way to see my grief counselor, I stopped at a store to pass some time. This was a store that my Mom and Dad frequented in their hometown. For weeks, I have been looking for a small garden flag to no avail. Upon entering this store, looking for a flag was not on my mind, but my Mom was. Directly in front of me, by itself, was a lone garden flag with Gardenias(Mom's favorite flower) and words "Ones that we love live on in spirit". I turned around in utter surprise to find a small picture that said "Pay attention to the small things in life". I didn't need anything more...I knew it was another sign from my Mom. It's in my garden right now.

Love and blessings,
Jen

I so agree with you Lauren. It has to become a lifestyle. We are sinners everyday, and yet we are forgiven everyday. We have to carry the same Christlike attitude. I know it's easier said than done, but if it becomes a lifestyle, it does become easier.

I've always had memories of things, the smell of lavender, sheer curtains blowing in a breeze, that according to my parents, I've never seen or experienced. A smell can trigger a memory that I can almost capture. I've been homesick all my life but I don't know where home is. The first time I went to Ireland it was like finally coming home but I'd never been there. At the age of 60, finally, I have resigned myself to the understanding that I will never find home like Ireland. Now I find myself in retirement trying to create home in my back yard. I am at last content. And I do believe my memories are those shared by ones that came before me. And I'm quite content to hold that knowledge in my heart.
It was good to share that with someone who knows exactly what I'm talking about.
