For years, the crop circle phenomenon has intrigued and baffled us all. Now, Suzanne Taylor’s documentary, What On Earth? Inside the Crop Circle Mystery (2009) explores many aspects of the circles and presents information in an unbiased manner. The movie won the 2009 EBE Award for Best Feature Documentary at the UFO Congress Film Festival and just got an award for Excellence in Paranormal Filmmaking from the 2010 Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival.
In the film, Taylor, who for twenty years has herself been a member of the community of crop circles researchers and aficionados, speaks to people from this lively bunch of visionary artists, scientists, philosophers, geometers, educators and farmers who have been profoundly touched by the circle phenomenon. Their critical analyses include all theories, from divine intervention to alien contact to the possibility of the circles being a human perpetration. No explanation is put forward as the “correct” one and the viewer gets a lot of possibilities from which to decide what makes the most sense. The conversations are fascinating and the stories perplexing.
The film is professionally produced to Hollywood standards and includes captivating aerial and ground photography of a large number of formations. Suzanne takes us on a journey throughout our history and opens the mind to a plethora of metaphysical concepts, as well as to what might happen to human consciousness and our worldview if it were ascertained that the circles come from other intelligence.

Dan Millman is a former world champion athlete, university coach, martial arts instructor, and college professor.
