The Final Pilgrimage

As we continued on our Sacred Earth Journey in Peru, we finally arrived at Machu Picchu. Here our pilgrimage was coming to an end and we were completing our path to becoming one with the condor. To fly free as divine beings of the sun. We were encouraged to let go of anything that no longer serves us on our path so that we can be liberated to better serve.
As I have mentioned so many times before, the whole tour through Peru, to all the sacred sites, was truly life changing for me. It brought clarity and courage to my heart to continue along my path and to take on even more as I search to serve in love.

Service in Love

The llamas in Peru are here to remind us that we are on this journey in life to be of service — service in love. Have you asked yourself lately, how can I be of service? What cause are you passionate about? Where is your path leading you?
These are many of the soul journey questions that we all dealt with while exploring the sacred sites of Peru.
And when we took the time, in silence, to hear our soul’s answer, we either reinforced our current direction in life, or some of us took dramatic 180 degree changes.
While you watch this short video clip of the next portion of our trip to Peru, ask yourself those questions as well. And remember to hear the voice of your soul as it nudges you one way or another.

Receiving the Heart of the Condor

“Has life been difficult? Have you processed so much in your heart? Was your pilgrimage difficult? Were you hurt many times? This condor is telling you that was nothing. It was only preparation for the next part of your service. You can take on more. And for that, take my heart. Liberate yourself.” — Puma
As we listen to these questions, the flood of emotions of past hurts and challenges came racing to my awareness. And yes, sometimes it feels like I have taken on as much as my heart can handle over the years. So I was looking forward to hearing what I could do to change that, because there is so much more that I want to do in this world, in this lifetime.
As I walked up to the heart of the condor and gave my coca leaf offering, I felt a shift. A warm surge of energy filling my heart and my soul. Reassurance. I could do more, I just need to share the load. I don’t have to do it on my own anymore.
What a wonderful feeling!
I don’t know if it’s true that only those who are “chosen” make it to the heart of the condor. I just know that I am grateful that I am on my path that lead me there, so that I can keep giving more of my heart to the world. I am here to learn, to teach, and to be of service.

Journey to Peru, A Heart Opening Sacred Journey Part One

Continuing on my journey to Peru, we began our visits to the many sacred and powerful sites near Cusco, Peru. In this episode of VividLife iTV, we went to explore the Temple of the Moon and its underground caves. Puma Quispe Singona, our tour guide who is an Andean Medicine Man, consulted Mama Coca to help us understand our intricate connection with Mother Earth, Pachamama.
As we learned about the ways in which Pachamama corrects imbalance, sometimes violently so, we also were made aware that we were there for a very specific reason. To wake up the Puma within us, as we are the Puma from the North that the phophecies speak about to give birth to a new life that is in each one of us.
Entering into the womb of Pachamama proved to be a very moving and emotional experience for many in the group as they felt either an extreme reconnection to the earth or also a rebirthing process being in the sacred location. Life is all about celebration. And we carry that energy of celebration with us wherever we are and wherever we go.

Sacred Journeys for the soul in the land of legendary ruins

Journeying to a sacred land opened my heart and my soul to new levels of self-understanding and self-awareness. How often can you say a trip brought you that gift?
Machu Picchu Peru has always been my top wish-list destination. Ever since I read Celestine Prophecy when it first came out, I knew I needed to be there. My heart and my soul called out to me to give myself that gift of a life experience.
I didn’t fully understand at the time what I was going to experience. But I knew it was a powerful place, filled with energy that could transform you if you allowed it into your space and your being.
Let me take you back to a few weeks before the trip begun. My husband, John, asked me casually one day, “If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?”. Straight away I replied, “Well, I have to get to Machu Picchu Peru. That would be the first place I would go…”
Two days later, the phone rings and it’s Shayne asking me if I wanted to go to Machu Picchu Peru to film a spiritual journey. “You have got to be joking!” I practically screamed in his ear.
So there we were, a few weeks later, on the plane to Peru. I truly didn’t know what to expect, because in the past I had never traveled with groups. I was more of an individual explorer. So having a planned agenda and everything lined up and ready for us was new. And very nice.
Right off the plane we had people waiting to pick us up and bring us to our hotel. We had wake up calls and more shuttles back to the airport the next day. Our domestic flights were pre-arranged. It was all so easy. I was already liking the new experience of group travel.
And then it just got even better. We got to meet the group. There were 10 of us plus our tour guide Puma. And after having a wonderful dinner together (also all pre-arranged and covered), I really started to understand the dynamics of traveling with a group like this on a spiritual journey. We were 10 souls coming together to have a heart opening experience together. We were on the same path at the same time in the same place. How fabulous is that?
Each of us there would experience this trip in their own unique way. But at the same time, we all were going to share so much. And also support each other in ways that I can only believe were also pre-arranged… just not by Sacred Earth Journeys (or maybe Helen really is that good!)
Over the next few issues, I will be sharing with you some of my personal life-changing breakthroughs that were my gift from Peru. What I know for sure right now is that Peru is forever in me and I have always been in Peru. “Until always”, as Puma would say so well.
