When you want to attract something into your life, practice deliberate attraction. Here are three fundamental principles that you can use to help you become a deliberate attractor. You can use these principles in all areas of your life, including: money, career, family, life-partner relationships, friendships, work relationships, business clients, business referrals, education, vacations, health, and more.
Key #1: Identify What You Want
Clarity is essential. The more clearly you ask for what you want, the more likely you are to get it. Do you know what you want? A lot of people are good at knowing what they don’t want, and not so good at knowing what they DO want. For example: you want a better job, but spend your time thinking about what is wrong with the job you have, rather than getting clear on what you DO want as a job.
This powerful exercise , Clarity Through Contrast, helps you get clear on what you want. Take one issue at a time, for example: a new job. Take a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left side, write Contrast-things I don’t want. On the right side- Clarity-things I do want.
Issue: A New Job
Contrast-things I don’t want (A)
1. I hate my job
2. I don’t make enough money
3. It’s too far from home
4. The people are negative
5. My boss doesn’t appreciate me
6. I dread going to work
Clarity – things I do want (B)
1. I love my job
2. I make plenty of money
3. My commute is easy
4. My colleagues are friendly
5. My boss is supportive
6. I get excited about going to work
You can add more in each column, just make sure that you write down all the things you don’t like, to help you get clear on what you DO want in a job.
Key #2: Give Attention To What You Want
From the Clarity Through Contrast exercise, you can see why you want to give your attention, energy, and focus to Column B, and not to Column A. What you focus on expands. The Law of Attraction states that you get what you vibrate.
If you find yourself focusing on what you don’t want, ask yourself:
”So what DO I want?”
By focusing on what you DO want, you set the POSITIVE energy of attraction in motion. Examples of how to do this are:
* make a vision board and look at it several times a day
* read Column B out loud several times a day
* tell 10 friends about what you want
* notice when you get signs that your desire is on it’s way
* celebrate proof that what you are asking for is coming
You also might have ideas of your own. The above are suggestions. Do what works for you.
Key#3: Allow It
This can be the most challenging part of the process, which is why it is essential to have the first two steps done well first. Allowing is the absence of negative vibration, or the absence of doubt. If you doubt you can have something , you are cancelling out all the work you have done in steps one and two.
How do you eliminate doubt?
First, identify your doubts about getting what you want. Doubts are limiting beliefs.
Example #1: I’d like to attract my ideal partner but I can’t because I’m too fat, too old, too busy etc.
Example #2:I’ll never be wealthy because I come from a poor family, I don’t have a college degree, I’m not smart enough etc.
(N.B. Notice the word “because”…. there is often a limiting belief behind it).
Create positive affirmations:
Example #1: “I’m in the process of attracting my ideal partner who is …………………
(fill in with Column B, what you DO want in an ideal partner).
Example #2:I’m in the process of attracting plenty of money……………………..
(fill in with Column B, what you DO want your money reality to be).
Surround yourself with positive people who want you to succeed.
Take an honest look at the people you spend the most time with and make sure they are positive, supportive and kind.
Celebrate all wins, however small.
Celebrating helps keep the positive vibrations flowing and builds momentum.
Open your mind and heart to RECEIVE
Make a practice of receiving. As you fill up your own well and expand your capacity for receiving,you will find that you have more to give. Now you are in a win-win reciprocity with yourself and those around you.,
