Thu Jun 11 2pm – 3pm HOST Rose-Anne Guests: Lianne Harris Racioppo & Heather Pardon
More than 60 percent of Canada’s 800,000 women entrepreneurs are “lifestylers” – business owners who choose self employment to create balance in work and family commitments. Often, though, self-employment is lonely and isolating, and brings a host of unforeseen challenges that prevent the dream from being fulfilled. Tina Dezsi and Lia Bandola, along with 20 other businesswomen, inspire and encourage women everywhere to follow the dream in their just released book “The Power of Women United” (The Ultimate Publishing House: 2009). The authors will officially launch the book, Wed, June 17 at McNally Robinson in Toronto, uniting more than 500 women entrepreneurs at an evening event that features business networking, an inspiring author presentation, and book signing. A collection of 22 personal stories, the contributing authors understand how personal obstacles interfere with success, and share strategies, advice, support and encouragement for women everywhere to find strength in numbers and reciprocate support.
