“The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.” ~ Anthony Robbins
Do you know that feeling of waking up and knowing that you have not slept enough? The day begins with the feeling that you are behind and this feeling of being behind keeps creeping up on you. The next thing then is to try to go to bed earlier the next evening. But then the next morning, with the sound of the alarm clock, the same old feeling returns. What is that feeling? Is it coming with age, or is this about eating the wrong type of food? After taking care of what I was eating, I notice it isn’t the food. I have made a lot of changes over the years in my diet and I know it is good and healthy. I keep track of the right quantity of water, and see to it that not too much coffee and alcohol is being consumed. I could go of course in the direction of the whole age thing, but still, I don’t think that my age is the reason my energy is disappearing either.
It has to be something in my life style that is blocking my energy supply. Working as a coach, this question comes up in so many different forms and thoughts into conversations. I have been reading a little bit more about this subject lately. It seems that in this fast paced world we live in, there is no time for our natural energy to go around in our body any more. There is of course less physical work these days and we have our cars, and other transport to take us from ‘A to B’. With the full schedules we all have, it is hard to have time to go to the gym, take a walk or really connect with ourselves. I am really getting curious about what is happening to our energy. What is it that we need to do, to take care of our own ‘energy source’? It seems to me, that not only the world is running low on recourses but so are our bodies.
I thought it would be nice to challenge myself to see if it is possible to recharge my own resources. Funnily enough I have been reading a magazine and this magazine’s topic is ENERGY. How wonderfully this universe works, it still surprises me every day. It talks about the subject of energy and it also gives us tips to use Kundalini yoga to circulate our own energies. The way it is explained to me is that we have this bundle of energy in the area around ournavel. It is referred to as a ‘rolled up snake’. By practicing Kundalini yoga we can activate this energy within ourselves and circulate it through our body. It explains the 4 exercises we can do to get ourselves recharged. The first four of the exercises are about making an ‘U’ shape with your body. This is all new to me and I am really looking forward taking this up. The challenge is for 21 days to practice four exercises in shape of a U. We begin with holding our posture for 3 minutes and we work towards 11 minutes. This will be a great way to learn and experience more about the energy within us.
Any one up for this challenge with me?
