An award-winning author, teacher, and talk show host, Kat Tansey spent her early career consulting with corporations to help them effectively implement organization-wide changes. To provide her expertise to a wider audience, she wrote Winning the Change Game, a story about a struggling manager who was helped by an unlikely guru to successfully launch a major corporate initiative.
Then after twenty years, Kat had to close her consulting business when she was struck down by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the early 90’s Her book, Choosing to Be: Lessons in Living from a Feline Zen Master, is the story of her journey from deep depression to emotional wellness. The book was awarded the Independent Publisher’s Bronze Medal and has been highly praised by reviewers around the globe.
On her weekly talk show, Finding Magic in Midlife, Kat interviews a wide variety of well-known and accomplished midlife women to explore and share their magic. In its fourth year, the show reflects the changing world of technology and social media, as Kat now meets many of her guests through Twitter and Facebook, and conducts interviews with women around the world using Skype.
Her successful webinar series, Prospering in 2010, has led Kat to develop a new webinar program called The Versatile Leader™. She is combining her broad expertise in corporate training with her many years as a meditator to teach leaders how to influence people, inspire teams, resolve conflict, and decrease stress by increasing one’s Emotional Intelligence. The course will be launched in the late spring.
