Think right now of a time when you felt happiness – happiness big or small. It could have been a second in time or a whole day or week. Visualize it all. See all the colors, details. Smell all the smells. Feel what your body was feeling. Remember deeply. Feel that sensation.

Happiness…The most sought after, yearned for and yes, even perhaps the most largely available resource we have. We can all decide to create our happiness. See in the first 30 seconds of reading this you created happiness.
I know you say you have many things to NOT be so happy about…And these often seem quite vivid and pressing in life. I hear you. I have argued for this side of things too. But what if we were present to all those things that we judged as “bad” or “wrong” and felt a lightness in our heart?
Someone asked Mother Teresa once how she could possibly walk the streets of Calcutta with all that poverty, despair and human suffering. She replied that she saw flowers everywhere. Now there is a teacher of happiness and choice. I try to follow her lead and invite you to do the same.
Watch for flowers. They really are everywhere…And they waiting to blossom within you. Sometimes you just have to remember.
