Use pranayama, chakra meditation, and mantra to cleanse the 72,000 inner channels and develop your mental and psychic abilities. This is a classical sequence originally taught by Swami Gupta (the teacher of Dharma Mittra) that will include a detailed description of the subtle body and the connection our thoughts, emotions and actions have to the flow of prana in our channels. Using such techniques to move prana into the Central Channel, Sushumna Nadi, ultimately leads to bliss and a clarity that allows one to see beyond illusions.
Experience a unique flow of postures drawing from Classical Indian and Tibetan Asana sequences as well as Indian and Chinese Martial Arts. This challenging and graceful flow will include segments of the oldest known asana series created 1000 years ago by Lady Niguma in the Himalayan region of North India. Niguma’s yoga explores how specific postures open the chakras and loosen the knots of the subtle body, creating pathways to overcome negative emotions, making practitioners happy and more available to help others.

This unique evening of sound and breath work will include mantra as well as the classical pranayama sequence as taught by Sri Krishnamacharya (the teacher of Iyengar and Sri P. Jois). This pranayama sequence is a lifetime practice. You will learn how to gently incorporate pranayama in your current practice and also how to intensify it as your lung capacity and concentration grow.
